how to walk by faith...

facing the internal battles

is baby #2 already here?! 👼🏼🤍

this is an emotional one and we will share all the details soon so don’t miss next weeks Sunday Send. But just for a quick update, we wrote the majority of this email last week and now on the day it is arriving in your inbox we had someone special already arrive making us a family of 4! & it is so cool to come back to this newsletter and watch how God deeply transformed, healed and strengthened our faith.

When do you think baby arrived??

(and any final guesses on a name?)

walking by faith and not by sight is easier said than done. We want to trust God but sometimes little holes or cracks of fear, worry, & distrust can creep their way into our thoughts. we battle with them, sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. As we prepare for baby’s arrival we can feel that tension between trusting God to be present but also still deeply remember the feeling of his “absence” last go around. (spoiler alert: he was not absent last time.)

Have you felt that internal struggle where you want to trust God to come through but doubt keeps buzzing around your head?

We are doing 3 things to help with that this time and we hope you will utilize this strategy for the internal battles you are facing!

  1. Chase the peace. The prince of peace supersedes our understanding. Sometimes God calls you into unknown or confusing areas similar to Abram going “to a land I will show you” or on a smaller scale us changing our birth plan a month before the baby is due but His peace overwhelms our circumstances and logical reason!

  2. Know His Voice. You’re going to hear several voices when you’re in tough moments. Fear will be speaking, anxiety will be tempting, worry will be nagging and distrust will be tapping your shoulder. But at the same time, God will comfort you. He will not leave nor forsake you. You have to know His promises & His character so you can discern who is speaking. Go read 2 Tim 1:7.

  3. Don’t go back there. The past is in the past. You don’t live there anymore. Let’s heal, move on & watch God move! Isaiah 43:18-19 says “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

That scripture hit us. Streams in a Wasteland. Where do you need God’s redemption in your life? We are praying over you right now for streams to spring up in any wasteland you may have.
