living in answered prayers
WE ARE PREGNANT!!! 🎉
Honestly, it’s wild. We are so, so, so excited for our growing family—and for our little ones to be so close in age! Feels like just yesterday you were praying with us for one baby, and now—bing, bop, boop—we’re expecting our third. (do people say bing bop boop? lol) anyways, Praise God!
As Tori and I have been reflecting on this news, we won’t lie—some nerves have crept in alongside all the excitement. It’s so much easier to look forward with fear than to look backward with faith.
Let me explain.
2.5 years ago, before we had Micah, we would have done nearly anything to have a baby. Fast forward to us finding out we’re expecting, the fear knocked: Are we really ready for 3 under 3? But as we processed, God QUICKLY reminded us—we are LITERALLY living in the answered prayers from years ago. And with that came two big truths:
God will grace us for every season. If you’ve ever wondered How am I going to do this?—well, look at you. You’re doing it. The fact that you’re reading this right now is proof that God is sustaining you right where you are. Let that sink in. And let it fuel you to step forward into whatever unknowns are ahead.
Don’t let blessings become burdens. Whew. Whether it’s a job, a spouse, a house, or even the beautiful gift of a baby, it’s so easy to let the thing we once cried out to God for become the thing we now cry to God about. OH THAT HIT ME HARD TYPING THAT! Haha.
I’ll leave that there. Cannot wait to share more with y’all! Also, just in case you get the feeling that we are nervous, we aren’t! We had a few moments of processing but we know God has us right where he wants us and we took this as a chance to encourage all of us to make sure we are reminding our hearts that we are living in the times we prayed for and to live with trust and gratefulness of that!
