awaken the fire inside of you

Have you ever had a moment where you felt God was speaking—where something shifted in you, and you could feel the fire start to catch? That’s where we’ve been this week.

A quote we’ve come back to over the years—especially as we’ve walked through different seasons—is:

“You don’t know what you don’t know.”

Life stays the same either because we don’t realize it can be different, or because we don’t know how to change it.

Last week, we had a call with a friend/mentor/Holy Spirit-filled ugh-I-love-this-person type of person. 😂 And man… he lit a fire inside of us we didn’t even know needed lighting.

He reminded us to fight battles we didn’t even know were being fought. He encouraged us to become people we haven’t been—people we honestly didn’t even think we could be.

He didn’t call us out, but he sure did call us up.

Which brings me to another quote we love:

“If you change nothing, nothing changes.”

Now that we know change is possible (in a good way!), it’s time to figure out what needs to change and how we’ll make it happen.

For me (Chad), this means committing to at least one hour of prayer a day. It doesn’t have to be at 4 a.m. like the Holy Rollers 😂—but it does have to happen. I’ve said for years that I want to believe that God hears and cares about me—so I’m going to wear out His throne room. To help my unbelief. To petition the Father. To fight my battles with Him, not just by myself. And to experience Him in ways I haven’t yet.

For Tori, well…She is currently taking a much needed/deserved pregnancy nap! hahah And I refuse to wake her up for this, but we will update yall next week so you can hear about her changes!

For you…I don’t know where you are right now—whether you’re on a mountaintop or deep in a valley. But let’s push each other forward to experience more of Him. To not settle for status-quo Christianity, but to pursue the kind of faith that makes us feel alive—even in the mundane.

Because more of Him is available. And He can do far more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Okay so that one was a bit tricky because on the last trivia question like 85% got it right haha. Here are the answer explanations -God made both man and animals from the soil, -Animals were made together as scripture points out that made was made alone, not animals, -God brought the animals before man to name them!
