The empty tomb secured eternity for you but that isn’t all it did.

Before we jump in, we feel obliged to say “He Is RISEN!” We will assume you responded accordingly haha. anyways. Will keep this short and sweet to honor this wonderful Holyday!

We had our minds blown on a devotional from New Morning Mercies that will be on tomorrow’s MWTM episode! (subtle plug lol) The author talked about the power the resurrection has beyond securing eternity on our behalf!

“Future Grace always carries along with it the promises of Present Grace.”

There is so much power in the resurrection and we need to tap into that. It changes our mindset, it adapts our wants/needs, it is strong when we are weak, & reminds us that God wins no matter how bleak things can look.

The big take away or “game changer” that we felt in this devotional was taking those struggles like: frustration, fear, anxiousness, confusion, envy, self loathing, {insert what you’re struggling with}, and slaps those struggles with the mighty hand of hope and follows up with another slap of truth! It can be easy to fall into a hole of despair knowing God has our future but feeling like He doesn’t care about our “now”. But the resurrections says otherwise…

The resurrection doesn’t just provide hope for our future, it provides help for our present. If your “end” has already been secured, then you can know that your present is being provided for because if it weren’t you would not make it to your “end”.

Side note: Baby boy #2 will be here soon and we appreciate your prayers in this time! Everything is good but remaining confident, transitioning to two under two, and for the health of Tori and the baby would mean a lot to us. If you are in need of prayer respond to this and we will be praying! (we encourage you to keep the personal details private to protect the situation and involved people!)
