You’ve Got to Show Up

You ready to get fired up? You ready for breakthrough? You ready for life to stop feeling so dull or like you’re constantly swimming upstream and you just need a break?
Well... we’ve got good news and some bad news too.

The good news? Breakthrough is absolutely possible.
You really can get fired up again. You can feel more peace, more clarity, and more life in your life. You can feel like you’re not behind or stuck…

And the fun thing isβ€”it’s not even that far off.

The bad news? It’s probably going to cost you something. More specifically it’s going to cost all of you!

Here’s what we’re learning (and re-learning) in real time:

  • You have to show up – even when it’s hard.
That might mean waking up earlier so you can start your day right. Or it may mean unfollowing people to stop allowing envy to creep in. Or it may mean creating a negative consequence (like donating to a charity you dislike) every time you catch yourself being negative! Don’t be proud, do what you need to do!

  • You need more than a wishβ€”you need a plan.
Write down your goal. Whether it’s more peace, better health, or stronger relationshipsβ€”get specific. Then reverse-engineer that thang. haha. If you're constantly overstimulated, pause some commitments, clean out your space, and create margin for the change you actually want to see. A + B = C. What is the formula for what you need? If you don’t know, look at the next point below…

  • You’ve got to pray over what you’re hoping will shift.
Your willpower will run out. But God's strength? Doesn’t. The beauty is that you don’t have to do any of this alone. He walks with youβ€”hand in handβ€”giving motivation, encouragement, support, and favor. Go read the story of Nehemiah and look what God was able to do!

  • It’ll feel clumsy at first.
Change is awkward. It may make life harder at the beginning. But that’s not new. There was a time you were a great crawlerβ€”and then you gave that up to learn how to walk. It was slower, less stable, and probably came with a few bruises. But it got you to where you were meant to go.

Here is a quote I love!

"There is no way around the hard work, [so you might as well] embrace it." – Roger Federer

If you feel that β€œitch” that things can be different or that β€œthere has to be a better way”, you’re right! God is calling you to itβ€”and He will help you through it. I’m excited for you to feel the same way we feel by showing up in our lives and not just letting life happen to us but happening to life!
