Time For A Reset 👀

Ever wish you could just have a “do over”? Or a fresh start? A reset? We had a long convo last night about that and it brought us to a perspective shift that we both really needed…

Where do you need a reset?

We recently listened to a podcast (linked at the bottom) and it shared how tempting it can be to start seeing our blessings as burdens. Or better said, the responsibility to steward those answered prayers can sometimes feel heavy to carry. The example from the podcast was how DawnChere Wilkerson cleaned her house for 7 hours only for her children to mess it up in 7 minutes when they got home… but the catch is… she prayed for the ability to bear those children for 7 years.

So the question is.. Are you allowing your immediate pain, frustrations or hardships to cause you to miss out on the JOY of the blessings in your life?

If you are in need of a reset, remember these few things:

Take a step back and a deep breath. Ever heard the quote “haste makes waste”? That also happens in our walk where we can be in such a rush to get “somewhere” that we lose sight of where we are going. Let’s make sure we are going towards God’s kingdom not the kingdom of “I want this & I need that”.
God’s mercies are new everyday and every day we have a chance to reset, repent & ask for help to move forward!
Neh 8:10 “…the Joy of the Lord is your Strength”. If you notice your Joy being taken through these setbacks, take a second to realize that your strength is also being taken. So in order to persevere in this times we need to recover our Joy for God!
Any time we need a reset we can open up God’s Word where we will find the strength, courage, and wisdom needed to renew our mind and shift our perspective.

In other news… Baby Noah is one month old today!!! We are slightly in shock. Likeee how in the world has it already been a MONTH!? Somehow it feels like he has always been a part of our family at the same time it feels like he was just born yesterday. We are embracing every sleepy snuggle and remembering the sleepless nights don’t last forever lol! He is already 11 pounds of chunky sweetness & Micah lovessss giving him kisses. It has been so sweet 🥹
