Unlocking your Worship
Tori and I just got back from DC, and y’all… the Museum of the Bible was something else. We had high hopes, but it blew them out of the water. If you want to see what I mean, click the vlog below — you’re going to love it. But honestly, something else happened that I wasn’t expecting. A simple scene in a show I was watching unlocked something in me I didn’t even know was hidden.
You ever have one of those moments that doesn't just bring you to tears — it pulls you straight into worship? That happened to me while we were in DC. I was catching up on a show, and there was this scene…
A character had his hand forced, and he made a selfless choice to honor his family’s dream by giving it away. And the person he trusted with the dream? He walked into the yard, took his hat off, looked up, and started to sing. I don’t know if he was singing to Jesus, but I know my heart wanted to.
It felt raw — almost instinctual. That kind of worship you can’t fake or plan. It just comes out.
And honestly, that moment set the tone for our entire trip to the Museum of the Bible. Everything there — from the insanely well-done exhibits to the beautiful artifacts — pulled me into that same posture of worship. I put down my phone, forgot the to-do list, and just lifted my head.
If you feel like that kind of worship is locked away under the weight of life, we definitely recommend checking out the Museum of the Bible.
